Books - The Lewis & Clark Expedition
In 2001 I saw the opportunity to do a book on the Lewis & Clark Trail for the 200th anniversary of their trip (1803-1806) and I began work on this project. In the end I ended up travelling the entire trail in order to be at a place within a few weeks of when the expedition had been there – thus giving the reader the sense of being on the trip with the Corps of Discovery. I put journal entries from the journals of Lewis & Clark with many of the images to further enhance this experience. Since then these images have been in the award winning book I did The Lewis & Clark Trail American Landscapes, been part of the exhibit on Lewis & Clark at the Newberry Library in Chicago, and are in the Library of Congress and several corporate art collections.
